A local workspace for changes that still respects the live server.

TraceLayer lets you prepare and review changes locally, then checks current server state before preparing a write.

Local working copy saved

Your working edit is preserved so you can come back to it.

Server version checked

TraceLayer records the live version it saw when editing began.

Conflict needs review

If the live version changes, TraceLayer blocks the write until you compare the difference.

Posts and Pages are different workspaces

Posts often need categories, tags, excerpts, scheduling, and social queue planning. Pages need hierarchy, templates, HTML review, and update diffs. TraceLayer keeps those rules separate so page workflows do not accidentally behave like social posts.

Key rule

Pages cannot include social targets or post-only taxonomy payloads. Social planning belongs in Posts mode only.
