Storage is a support layer, not the authority.

TraceLayer can use local storage by default and optional providers later for archives, reports, snapshots, media, and review packets.

Local filesystem

The default path for local archives and export bundles.

Nextcloud

An optional WebDAV provider for shared workflow archives and snapshots.

S3-compatible storage

A future provider path for durable object storage.

Git repositories

A future path for content and deployment review histories.

SMB/NAS

A future adapter for local network storage.

Manual export

A simple fallback when provider connections are not configured.

TraceLayer still checks the server

Storage providers can keep supporting artifacts, but they do not replace live-state checks, server truth, dry-run review, or confirmation gates.
